Celebrating our Last National CPD Day of 2025

Lauren King

On Wednesday 15th October, we held our final companywide National CPD Day of 2025. These CPD days are opportunities for our clinicians to refresh and expand their skills, ensuring they continue to deliver the highest quality care across our clinics and surgeries.

As the leading provider of specialist MSK care for private and NHS patients, we recognise that robust CPD underpins safe practice, professional growth, and excellence in patient outcomes.

A Day of Learning and Collaboration

Our National CPD Day began with a business update from the leadership team, followed by an insightful ‘Learning from Incidents’ session led by Clinical Governance. From there, our regional teams split off for targeted training, including essential Basic Life Support (BLS) updates.

What Some Of Our Regions Got Up To

South and West Team

The South and West Team explored red flags in primary care, challenging conversations, and regional referral pathways. Clinicians engaged in stimulating discussions and shared learning, highlighted by Jarryd Bhambhani’s presentation, which brilliantly combined all three topics into a real-life case study.

Midlands Team

The Midlands focused on continuous learning and shared growth. Special thanks to Latika Sethi and Muhammad Asbar Javed for insightful presentations on fit notes, referral letters, and red flag screening during First Contact Practitioner (FCP) consultations. Karen Sanders led a highly successful BLS session, and the day concluded with open discussions on challenging patient conversations, allowing teams to learn from each other’s experiences.

East of England Team

In the East of England, clinicians benefited from Joe Guise-Smith and Mark Conlon’s red flags presentations, along with case studies led by Chris Campany and Hannah D’Souza. Matt Shutt and Jonathan Mason led an interactive referral writing workshop, and the day ended on a collaborative note, with teams reflecting and connecting over an evening social.

Yorkshire Team

Our Yorkshire clinicians took a hands-on approach, exploring reframing pain in the brain with Lee Vaughan and trying out a pilot sensory-cognitive toolkit for pain management.
